I notice that square setups are mentioned only a few times. On the E82 1-series forums, a square setup (wheels and tyres) was very popular and apparently helped get rid of the understeer those cars suffer from.

So, why aren’t square setups as popular for the Z4 Ms?

Secondly, does the collective experience of users offer any guides for what 17 inch wheels can/should fit?

Thanks!
I run a square set up for the track and staggered on the street. The Square set allows you rotate to get more life out of the tires, but I also have much more camber on the front to accommodate the tire size. I prefer the square set up on the track as the car handles much better, but the 19" HRE's look awesome on the car.

Staggered - 9.5" 245/35/19 front and 10" 275/30/19 on the rear.

Square - 9.5" 265/35/18 to a 275/35/18
