I contacted BMW Australia to get the correct numbers ... delighted to say that they were very helpful. According to them, the number of Z4 coupes in Australia is:
Z4 3.0si coupe: 157
Z4 M coupe: 103
Even rarer than I thought ! If one is looking for a steptronic auto, that comes out of the 157 figure, so probably only about 80 in the country.
