I've been fooling around with idea of using some HD 1/4" rubber conveyor belt I picked years ago, very stiff but still flexible, the wind won't deflect it but a solid object would.
I'm thinking of using it as a vertical dam, if the bottom contacts the road surface it will just wear a bit off the lower edge, it's flat black.
