It's got something to do with the airbox, IIRC. I can't remember exactly. I know that the M3 has a different intake elbow and the vacuum lines are a bit different around the elbow, but I think the Z4M and M3 share the airbox plenum itself. So I might even be wrong about the dipstick being different. |
Ah gotcha, yeah I know the Elbow is slightly different and the Z4m has a vacuum line off it. If the molding is the same I'm going to be going with an M3 pan since the threads on mine got stripped out from the dealer over tightening
