If it feels harsh/jarring when you hit potholes (slower speeds) and floaty/bouncy on dips (highway) speeds then the shocks are worn. How many miles on them? If the springs are really aggressive, I'd consider replacing with a non-oem shock (e.g. Koni or Bilstein).
