Some data logs from last night data logging on the road.
Intake temperatures once moving start falling rapidly towards ambient.
Once at 50mph and cruising for even 1 min the intake temps reach ambient + 1-2 degrees C.
Once around 60mph intake = ambient.
So, the factory cold air feed is extremely efficient which is a real bonus for the Z4M community.
Heat intake into the air box can be further reduced by making a small heat shield at the bottom of the mouth. This however will only be important for low speed driving or at the drag strip.
