OP's title is a bit misleading. It's a Z4 M40i, not a Z4M 40i. The latter implied that it's an M car, which it is not.

Precisely. There is a guy in my town who actually bought an M240i and thought he had an M2. Not that the M240i is a crappy car - its a great car as I understand, but its not an M2.
But in any case, the Z4 M40i, at 382 hp, will be quite the rocket. However, for around $20,000 less up here, I think the equally potent new Supra will beat it hands down in sales.
