according to tisher bmw ...all I can tell is that the m3 and z4m axle assembly is the exact same cost. msrp 560.63 but can be had for 450 a side. Might be worth a shot at calling the dealer for part numbers on both.
I'd rather have the axles weaker than the diff, driveshaft, subframe mounts, etc...they are the easiest to replace, but at the same time hpf m3's are running them w/ 600+whp w/ only a handful of failures
