I have enjoyed RE-71s as a dual purpose autocross/track tire, especially since you can flip them to extend their life.

For R-Comp tires, a good friend runs the Maxxis RC-1 on his Z3M coupe for track. He said they are on par with Nt-01 and 888R in terms of grip, with the difference being the RC-1 have the shaved tire grip of the others immediately because they are smooth.

Not as sticky as hoo hoos of course, but they sure as shit last forever. Bonus is they are CHEAP too, and if your an SCCA member they provide a 10% discount as well (talking UNDER $900 shipped for SCCA members for a set of 265/35/18s).

I'm very strongly considering them for next year myself
