How did you feel after you left?
By the way, no photos were allowed. The prison I visited was still occupied by a few "trusted" residents.
There's a good description of that event in Roger Carron's book, "Go Boy".

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. It really was a fascinating place. Although I have a very active imagination, I didn't try to imagine myself as a prisoner (or guard) there--perhaps in an effort to maintain my mental balance? Despite the founders' good intentions, it really was a nasty place, right from the very beginning.

It was interesting to go into some of the cells. And I did briefly contemplate what it would be like to be locked in there… Not a happy thought.

And I especially don't think I would want to visit right after a major riot!
