Well, of everyone here you address I happened to post twice on the topic so it's tempting to clarify that even though I've posted too much here already.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in high performance provided the quality doesn't suffer. It's just when you do understand what you are typing the speed isn't really important (unless it slows you down too much, like you forget the entire sentence struggling to type in the beginning of it ). It's better to strive for the best. If primitive things exhaust your capability it's all right, just do your best whatever it is. But if you can excel beyond, "don't concentrate on the finger":
