Not sure if you replaced the motor yet or not but I recently did and will tell you to fill the reservoir 3/4 and manually raise and lower the top once or twice checking the fluid level and then run the motor as it will self bleed out. Just keep an eye on the fluid level at least 1/2 - 3/4 filled at the end.
