Yep, have an external mic mounted few inches away from muffler. The muffler now sounds great in lower revs but can get little raspy above 4k. In middle of swapping for something quieter and deeper.

My car sounds pretty similar, low revs sound amazing then it transforms to a raspy screamer. Curious what mic you have?
