With your stock suspension setup I highly recommend staying with the original spec sizes.
They are aprox 26.0 inches in diameter and will fill the wheel well gap better.
If you go to a larger size (265/35 & 235/40) the side wall aspect ratio reduces the overall diameter to ~ 25.3"
This will make the gap over the tire look even larger than it is now.
Your car looks great the way it is!
I would stay the course.
