PK Code

On my 2008 Z4 3.0si - after many contortions and several strengths of "reader" glasses, various tools, etc., I was able to read the first three of the required four PK numbers. For the fourth digit, I simply used "trial and error" until it paired on the seventh try.

Does anyone know if the bluetooth PK connection will also handle my Apple iPhone music apps (iTunes and Pandora) connection to the radio's sound system?

I see that some owners buy an "Amazon bluetooth contraption" that connects to the back of the radio and handles wireless music from iPods and iPhones. This would allow the iPhone to charge via the cigarette lighter while using the phone and/or the radio.

If the car's bluetooth system cannot handle iPhone apps, can two bluetooth systems phone and music) work together? Does this contraption produce decent sounding music? I currently have my iPhone music playing through a "doogle" hardwire into the radio sound system via a tiny plug under the dashboard. Should I stick with this setup? The only problem is that it does not allow the phone to charge, so is time constrained.

Is there a newer BMW or bluetooth aftermarket radio that handles these issues and fits in the same space? Just asking...
