Not necessarily. If you just installed fresh bearings, then yes, 0 lead is a great thing! But without that information, 0 lead with elevated copper could very well mean that the lead layer had worn away and probably already into copper. With a high iron reading on top of that, it may even be into steel...so I would be worried about bearings. These rod bearings are made of steel/copper/lead. Steel is an alloy, but most of it is iron. Just my opinion. |
That's what I was thinking. Not sure what the previous owner did. Not sure how long the oil was in the car before I bought the car and changed it. The report states that it may have been a lower viscosity oil. We will see what another analysis says after 3k. Now using Motul 10w60 oil.
