The M2 is more versatile with a bigger trunk, more interior storage, and it has back seats. It also has a better dealer experience.
The Supra is attractive because it's less expensive and a newer model than the M2. The TRUE sports car configuration, with Active Cruise Control (not available on an M2C), and room for golf clubs. Add in the BMW drivetrain and electronics and it's tough to say no.
I'd probably be putting a deposit on a Supra when I can absolutely confirm I can fit a set of golf clubs inside. My biggest reservation is it would be tough to have a Supra as my only car.

The supra gets adaptive dampers and only an automatic trans from the 340i. Not even the M DCT. also get the 340i B48 engine
The M2c gives you a choice of M-DCT or a 6 speed and has fixed dampers. and a true M engine with the S55.
