Currently it have Apex wheels with 265/40-18 rubber up front and 275/35-18 in the back. Looking for first hand experience with different "R' rated tires.
I recently went the other way and sold a similarly prepped Z4MC to race an e36. Tested a number of tires and hopefully can help. Was able to fit All of the below tires in 275/35/18 On all four corners with 18x9.5 wheels With just a little fender rolling and Track alignment on JRZ 2WNR. 3mm spacer up front to eliminate spring perch rub.

- Hoosier R7 / A7: DOT Slick - Probably overkill for a track day but if you want to set a PB and make use of your BBK, have fun. Pretty much done at around 15 heat cycles

- R888R: 100 TW - About 4 seconds off the pace of an R7 and can take damp/drying conditions when still has tread. Should last at least 10 track days or longer and should be very similar to the Toyo Slick you use in SE46 Personally don’t like this tire and always seemed to heatcycle out quickly.

- NT01: 100 TW - In my opinion, best bang for your buck. Doesn’t heat cycles as quickly as the R888R and about as fast as an 8HC Hoosier R7 when new

- BFG Rival: 200 TW - About 5 seconds off the pace of an R7 but wears very Slowly and performs well in wet and dry conditions. Great tire for mixed conditions, driving to/from track and/or instructing

Good Luck!
