I grew up in a loving family that believed in discipline when necessary. It was not often that it came to spanking, as I usually behaved in such a manner it was not required. When it was, my mom used the wooden spoon, and she would make me go get it... My dad used his hand until I was 5. I do not remember what I did, but mom thought dad should handle it when he got home. I knew what was coming, so I put my pocket knife in my back pocket to give a little protection. That was a huge mistake.... From then on, it was the belt.
