I would certainly be back at the scene of the crime looking for the truck with tell-tale paint from your car on it. He will probably park in the same lot, but in a different part of the lot. If you find it, take lots of pics, do not confront the guy as he is likely to be prone to violence; and discuss with local police and your insurance company.

The fact that your car is a BMW is irrelevent to this guy. If you had been driving a new American-built Mustang or Caddy he would have done the exact same thing, and he would have justified it on the basis of you having a nicer ride than him.
