That's a seriously good point. My experience and others has been that they will answer questions but it can take an inordinate amount of time. But I've also found that custom work like this is an en-devour taken on with patience in mind. All of this high spec after market stuff will take tweaking to dial in and maintain. Which means having a good local shop that can take a look. So, before getting the sc I would find out if there are any local shops that you can count on when you need to troubleshoot. Also Frank Smith who does the tunes is from MD so you might have some local help right there.
As for the reliability of the VF hardware... it's pretty robust. But when it all comes down to it, it's your money, go where you're most comfortable man! I hope my thoughts are helpful, but they're just my thoughts... Oh, have you thought about the G-Power supercharger? I've heard that it provides more torque than the rest...
