To this day, I believe it was likely the installer's fault, but they swore it was on BMW and have immaculate reviews, and BMW ultimately covered the bill at a shop of my choosing. Thankfully, was only the front bumper for me - would certainly have been more bummed if it was on the painted metal panels. That being said, BMW NA will make this right under a goodwill repair, just needs a bit more pushing.

I got your PM. Thanks for letting me know about your experience. I don't have any expectations for BMW to make this right. I will try to push a bit further and see if anything gets done.
