Just used some Meguiar's Non Acid Wheel Cleaner recently and it did a great job at cleaning my wheels. Not too harsh, but really cuts into the grime. Like poster said above, a good set of tools and woolies is a must. This cleaner get's my vote and it's cheap at $20/gallon. Even at that I'm diluting 50/50 so it goes a long way.
