I've had pretty good results with my Raggtop kit. I used a horse hair brush with the cleaner and while the top was wet I brushed in the cleaner very deeply. Then rinsed, and let the top dry before applying protectant. It turned out very nice and nearly all the spots of dirt and stuff came out and it really revived the look of the top.

I use a california pop-top cover (covers just windows and top) during the day while parked at work. The AZ sun is brutal, so I am taking no chances with UV breakdown of the top or my interior. The nice thing is rain is a thing of mystery... so it hardly every gets wet to expedite the breakdown...
