I'm not sure if it matters at this point as it sounds like you have decided.
I own the Foxwell NT510 Elite (it was on amazon for less than $80). It is a nice unit that can do way more than just clear codes. It can activate the ABS motor, check ABS sensor, adjust steering angle sensor and much more.
I used it while troubleshooting my ABS, Traction Control, TPMS issue.
It could NOT clear the final code to get ALL the light off, but I was close, the shop only charged me for 30 minutes labor to clear it.
It stays in the trunk now in case I need to troubleshoot on the road. It lives beside my tire plug kit and air compressor.
