Well, she now has 58k miles on her. Still am totally loving this car!
Work completed to date (in addition to what I shared earlier in the thread):
-replaced alternator and serpentine belts
-replaced windshield cowl
-new BMW badges all around
-20w angel eye bulb upgrade
-flushed transmission
-flushed brake fluid
-replaced cabin air filter
-replaced right side headlight ballast, bulb and rear access door and seal (water got in from the rear seal)
-Michelin PS4 tires on the rear
-alignment
-purchased (but have not installed) B6 shocks and struts to install when I replace front tires over the winter
-purchased crush washers to flush power steering fluid (will do this on next oil change)
That's about it for now... have done all of this work myself (except for the alignment of course). Never really turned a wrench before buying this car... should have learned how to do this stuff years ago (YouTube and this forum are both huge helps).
