I just hook the tender directly to the battery and close the trunk on the cord. Works fine as well if you don't forget and drive off with it hooked up....lol

Thanks to all. It kinda blows my mind that there would be terminals to a battery located in the trunk that are under hood as well. My 1st Miata had the battery in the trunk, but no under hood terminals, (I think).
Any way the tender is now hooked to the battery in the trunk AND the trunk light DID go off!!!
