That said, I ended up replacing the entire projector with a Morimoto unit. The projector is coming out either way and rather than fumbling and trying to disassemble, figured may as well replace the thing for few bucks and get something that performs way better than stock =)

I was debating heavily between just the lenses or the complete projector, but for me the fiddling of the OE connection and having to modify the connector to install a D1R connector was a big brainer for what the improvement could be. plus being my weekend toy, I don't drive at night much so the new CBI bulbs + these lenses are more than enough.
