This can be debated forever with a thousand "what if" scnearios but the only fact is Max is the 2021 WDC and there won't ever be an asterisk next to it.

Tires matter more than almost anything else on a race car (you obviously know this). You and others are celebrating brilliance by Max who was on brand new softs was able to pass a car on shot hards that weren’t even up to temp?

Any of the mid pack teams with talented drivers would of made the same pass. Even Ferrari.
