Kaiv is an enthusiast and a "shadetree" mechanic - you can research him over on M3Forum. There's even an entire appreciation thread dedicated to his services. I think he has a shop now - I haven't been in contact with him in 2 to 3 years.
SD and Irvine isn't that far, IMHO. I'm in Irvine and I used to use Kaiv's services all the time in SD and still plan to use him when I can get a hold of him.
