Hi all,
On my 2003 Z4 2.5i, I've been struggling with getting this airbag warning light to go away. I've diagnosed it with my BMW Scanner 1.4 connector/software and I get the following code:
93e5, which when I look it up is
93E5 Airbag sensor, door, front, driver's side: sensor type incorrect .
Previously I was able to reset the code and have the airbag warning light temporarily off until began to drive it around the block. Now, when I try to reset it, the warning light won't even go off on the dash.
I went ahead and bought off ebay a 2003 BMW Z4 3.0i E85 / E86 Left Drivers Door Unit Sensor 657769277658OEM and replaced that in the drivers door. I checked all the connectors and everything looked great and NOT corroded. I tried to clear the codes and still no success.
I also check the cable plug (unplugged it) from the driver's door to the front pillar and there was no corrosion there.
If anyone has any ideas I would really really appreciate it as it is driving me nutz.
Thanks!
Danlor
