Wide band on the dyno was broken. New one arriving in the morning.
Currently the car is still running at lowered conditions as the tuning has literally only been done to run alphaN. No ignition timing has been added and no vanos tuning has been done so we will run the car like it is. This should give us an accurate idea of what the airbox does in isolation.
Then we will start tuning like we do on stage 1 /2 by optimizing the ignition, fuel enrichment and valve overlap.
We should get around 5-10hp from the airbox and around 15hp from the tuning.
What we can already say is that the engine feels like it has more power under full load. Without question the throttle response and low-midrange torque under partial (but quite heavy) load is far superior. This is something we cannot measure on a dyno in a way we can show a graph. The owner will give his feedback which will be far more authentic.
