I would guess that the weight savings will be nominal due to the front bumper includes the splitter, comparable to having for example an APR front splitter you will see about 15 lbs off the front the fenders should be about 2 to 4 lbs lighter and the rear maybe a couple of pounds. The doors and rear hatch is where you could really get the weight savings, but I would not swap those out unless you were going full cage.
The real benefit as you said was getting that 5mm fender extension as it maintains a clean look and gives you enough to fit a 285 width tire easily. I am planning on putting up a site with all the available mods in stages for purpose built cars.
