Another M Coupe hidden hitch bike rack

Decided I needed to get more use out of my M Coupe so I finally got around to fabricating a simple hidden hitch for my 1UP USA bike rack. This is not a tow hitch. Thought I would share to give inspiration for others considering doing the same...

I started with a 1 1/4" receiver tube from eTrailer.

From there I just used my imagination, 3/16" plate, and bolts I had laying around and got to it. I wanted to minimize drilling and welding to the chassis and so came up with this design which should be plenty strong for the single rack that will hold less than 50 lbs including the rack.

Rack looks good out back!

I may need to get the license plate relocation kit from 1UP USA if I get hassled. Although around here I don't think it'll be a problem.
