Having read the thread and seeing that resetting had not worked for a previous poster, I figured it was a firmware/software issue. But. . . it's good to check and per your suggestion I did the reset procedure, unfortunately the problem comes back and it's becoming tiresome to keep resetting the, er. . .settings.

Tom let us know what you find, this seems to be a problem with a few of us. I would love to keep the Dice if we can fix this isssue; let me know!
