I'm currently using the open back on the full (not skeleton) case with a mic muffler on the back. Kind of looks like a raccoon toupee. Here's a link to the site I purchased it from. I'm also using their drop in polarizing filter.

Edit: I also try to raise the hood between sessions, as I've seen some issues from heatsoak back into the camera. It lets me pretend I'm one of the forced induction guys...

You're actually mounting on the bar? I thought you did it on the bumper support.

That slipover piece is hilarious, is it actually effective? Is it that bad using the open back?
