12.6 1/4 with Z4M!!!!!!!!!

A buddy of mine who owns a stock E46 M3 brought out his timing equipment today. I did not catch the name on it, it was these blue boxes that had all these connections and sensors some crazy GPS thing hooked up to a laptop. I never seen such things in my life.

Anyway. Did a few runs and he was getting consistant 13.0 13.1 @ 105 -106 all day long.

It was 47 Degrees clear day

My best run was

60' - 1.960
1/8 Mile ET - 8.323
1/8 Mile MPH - 88.120
1/4 Mile ET - 12.613
1/4 Mile MPH - 113.230 I knew this was accurate cause I checked it with the garmin GPS and I started to slow down at 121 MPH after I blew the 1/4 mark and still acceling before braking.

I wanna get this stuff its awsome...

My Current Set up :

Underdrive pulleys from TMS,
Lightweight Battery by Odyssey
H&R Springs
Total weight reduction 98 Lbs
Falken Azena's stock Rims
1/4 Tank of gas
48,600 Miles on the Clock

Wait? Was this at an NHRA approved track? Or using a g-tech type device? Where you input vechile weight etc. Because some of them aren't very accuruate and even the ones that are close are VERY dependant on putting in accurate weight measurements.

Be awesome if its true, but 113mph trap with 44kg removed is... I dunno seems awefully fast. How much do you weigh?

Or rather, what was your race weight?

I suppose they could concieveably be close to a 997 C2S with some weight pulled out of it.

I weigh 120 Lbs - Yea I know I don't weigh alot. My pop is 56 and weighs 135. Doc says my metabolism is fast. Plus I play Hockey so I burn calories quick.

On another Note. I Ran 2 different 997's carrera s's, from a roll, and both times I have pulled by several feet on them.

Last sept. when I had the car for 3 weeks and 5,000 Miles. I ran on stock tries and I had nothing done to the car and I had 1/2 tank of gas and Ran 12.9@108 at the drag strip.

Sweet dude! You just inspired me, I pulled one of the sports seats from my M Coupe and found they weigh 26.5 kilos a side (58.8 pounds). So both seats in mine weigh in at 53 kilos or 117 pounds. A set of Recaro Pole Positions weigh about 8-9ish kg with rails so you'd concievably save 35 kilos or 77 pounds with a set of light weight seats.

I'm not overly heavy at 147 pounds, but your a featherweight at your weight as you say which all helps!

Has anyone had an M Coupe on a weigh bridge? Data I've seen says they weigh 1400-1410 kg (3086-3110 pounds) can anyone confirm what their car weighs?

I'll Go weigh tomorrow with 1/4 tank of gas. Ill weigh it with me in and out of the car. I am curious to see the weight. Thats so awsome, I think I might get some racing seats too.

How has it held up from a maintenance standpoint

My brother put his car on the scales and it came out to 1580kg or 3483.303lbs. Thats including 220lbs for the driver in the car and 3/4 tank of fuel.

Had a few electrical issues with the headlights. Rattles here and they. I have this A/C Wistle noise which is being taken car of. A really annoying creek above my head on the right. Dealer doesnt know what it is. I had the 1/2 shift grind. My new tranny is in and the car is going to the dealer today. Other than that (Knock on wood) its ok. Hope the S54 is reliable cause I am scrapping the extended warranty.

Thanks Rick, but this shouldn't happen with the new trans

i have it too. i'm 99% sure it's the windows moving around.... like just the tiniest little bit. like a small window rattle since they are frameless.
