Talking progress pics of my custom front lip

so i started this not to long ago some guy here has the aero front so i really didnt want to have the same one,, the reason for that is he and i would do car shows with our old cars and i know we'll see each other in coming up car shows. so i wanted to create my own.... ill try to keep the up dates as fast as i can hope you guys like it

How long do you plan to have your car down? You're just using fiberglass correct? Isn't there a resin you're supposed to mix with it so it's flexible and won't crack when you're done?

Anyhow, good job on doing something different.

not that long. Yes I'm using fiber glass.it gets hard but the fitment is good

well i used duct tape but i found that it didnt as well as the other tape you see there. the blue tape, the blue tape worked better and thats what im using from now on... but yes it was all straight on the paint

this was the second layer of fiber glass



this here was the third layer and a little bit cleaner

The blue tape you're using is painter's tape. Are you sure that works well with the resin of the fiberglass? How can you insure that you're going to get a good pull when you're done. Did you lubricate the layer in between the blue tape and the fiberglass resin?

i've done this be for in the past with painters tape nothing happens with the bumper. ive taken off the painters tape and the bumpers fine. of done this before

as for as the progress it does take time, plus im not retired like most of you on here. i do have to work and im young so i go out wake up go to work and samething every day. so chill

man don't let the haters get to you! these things take time.... its not something that you can start and finish in a couple hours. i am so impressed that you acutally undertook this! most people don't even work on their own cars let alone build their own parts. keep up the good work and i can't wait to see thie finished product!

I think the reason most of us old retirees...lol...are so anxious about what you're doing, is because your "progress" pix don't show much progress. If you would have done the thread with the end product already done, then we could have given you the props, that hopefully you'll get when you're done.
