Quick question - Z4 M

From my research online it seems that there is no sound tube/generator in the Z4 M. Correct?

Although there is active sound....it is generated by the engine. AHAHAHAHAHA

One of the forum members did a retrofit of the sound tube to an M, and I rode in his car. It sounded cool, but not nearly as cool as an AFe or GruppeM. I think it would be something to do if you want to keep the intake stock and just want a bit more noise, but to be honest, you could only tell a difference around 3-6K if you are really on it, otherwise it sounds mostly the same in other RPM ranges.

The AFE sounds amazing.

Thanks. The reason I asked is because the stock motor sounds so amazing... not sure if it's the variable valve timing, ITBs, or whatever, but it sounds so beastly and powerful from inside the cabin that I was wondering if it was some sort of fake sound being piped in like in some other modern cars. Good to know that the sound I was hearing was pure M power
