Lightning87's Z4 2.5

Hello boy's (and girls ??),

My name is Rob i'm 25, i'm from the Nethelands ( amsterdam to the not knowers of europe). i own my Z4 for more than 2,5 years now, and it stil feels verry good .

as pictures say sometimes more then words :

this is how i got started with the Z virus .

among the original options there is :

Heated seats
Xenon headlights
style 108 18" alloys.
M sport undercaridge ( is that the wright name for it ?? )
electics folding mirors
and all the usuals stuff,

zo my first mod was a stubby, but the old antenna was so stuck i had to buy new parts, with in the end me just not using the stubby but just buying the OEM Whip again because terible radio reception.

but that only had wakken the Z modding virus in me, so i started to want to change some more on the car, and after looking at a hamann front (wicht is way to expensive !!) i ended up buying this :

and i bought a secondhand rear bumper and the OEM aero diffusor ( just the simple one from the Pre facelift).

here is an up to dat picture as they are fitted togheter :

so i started doing the job myself ( with little to no experience), and i took the Z's Body apart :

so i ended up with the M front not fitting , so i took another trip to the dealer to buy myself the M underplates/body.

after that it just was comming togheter :

as the M doesn't have the foglights up front and my original does, i wanted foglights again. this was the first try:

as they are a little to wide to fit nicely in the brake duct, i just orderd some other one's witch i picked up this week but didn't have the time to try them on with dualsided tape.

i hope to finish up the car this or next weekend, so i can take the parts to the local paintshop .

in the meantime of running the car i had to replace the following (usual suspects):
the rear springs
the passengerside window system
the 3th brake light.
and i stil have to fix the whipers for 100% as they have the "we wont go down all the way syndrome".

also i added the cruisecontrol witch is verry easy if you have the right construction year

What i hope to do in the comming year/near future:
- BMW OEM stutbrace
- BMW M steering wheel/ a Multifuction one
- BMW M seats ( if i can find them for the right price)
- refurbishing/ replacing the 108's
- fitting a soundgenerator

and on the verry long term(maybe never) :

ESS supercharger
Qauiffe Diff
BBK
6 speed gearbox

so thanks for this great forum witch has always been a inspiration, and a source of knowledge to me

What all did you have to do to install the rear diffuser? I got it with my Aero kit and it's painted, but I never put it on.

You neer to cut a piece of the rear bumper ( you can see it at the back of the bumper), you need to instal some clips, and 3 blots, but the cutting is the hardest part to do it right

they are aftermarket as i cound't find other ones who would fit in to the brakeduct. but if someone has an idea wich lamps may fit inside please let me know .

already tried;

the orginial (PFL) one's, they dont fit right and they aint easy to mount to the airduct
E87 1 series (special flat model), to wide to fit.

so any suggestions anyone ? i did see the threat about foglights in de airduct threat but that didn't give me any clues nor suggestions.

Thanks ! The wheels still need a refurb. That's prob. Gonna be this winter. I'm also thinking of installing Some recaro's as the oem seats are really uncomfortable, but that's gonna cost me

I would love sportseats as well, but I would miss the seat heating too much in this country :-)
