Nope! Well it might but you'll get lights and a tamper code as your ecu is mapped to the cluster .....
Theirs a post I did a while back where I adapted the z4m speedo to my 3.0i Called my custom speedo or something like that ..... |

You can make the tamper dot go away if you synchronize the mileage data between the new cluster and the LCM.
Mileage data is stored in both modules. If they don't agree then you get a tamper dot. The dealer can do the synchronization or you can do this yourself with the proper BMW software. I don't know if the software is the DIS or SSS/Progman. |
