I think the 1K he was referring to was for a stock M aluminum hood to provide for them to create the CF version based off of.

Your shopping in the fiberglass range with open mold ,wet hand lay-up Polyester resin matrix and wavy,yellowing and warping.Those are readily available.

I am pretty interested too, I'm actually in the market for a new m hood so a cheaper carbon fiber one would be perfect.

why do you guys all need hoods so bad? also, a cheaper carbon hood probably wont happen, and the oem hood is gonna fit miles better than a cheaper carbon one. not to mention i think a carbon hood unpainted would look awful.

He got it through turner. But it was around 2k I think. The vents aren't really aestheticly pleasing, and the lack of the ridges in the hood are a disappointed.
