Airbag bypass moudule ?

Found this on eBay. Not affiliated. Will this resolve the race seat replacement issue?

Yes it will, from my understanding of fellow members on another Z forum who use it.

Doubt it, probably only works on pre-facelift models and the one time I saw something advertised for 06+ actually disabled the airbag entirely.

I believe you're right, it is for pre facelift cars only.

This one then?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Occupanc...item25781565f0

If that is the right one, the listing says the airbag is constantly activated.

I wouldn't mind something like this so that I can take out the passenger seat completely for track days. It is VERY rare that I have a passenger, so why bother replacing it? It's not that hard to take it out and put it back in, so long as you have a good hex socket set (using allen keys is a PITA). Just have to be careful not damage the thread on the bolts.

The only other issue I can think of is that if you crash, the passenger airbag will be deployed unnecessarily. That would be the last thing on my mind, but it does add insult to injury.

I just ordered the pre-facelift version. I'll post back if it works. I've been in the middle of a sensor transplant and thought to give this a shot before digging into my beloved M Sport seats to install the donated sensor.

Just be careful with some of these ebay modules, some of them will disable the light as WELL AS the airbag itself.
