Front bumper clear bra install price?
My local BMW dealer is having a 25% off cybermonday special today and tomorrow.
The front bumper kit, 3M with a 5 year warranty, is going for $168 for the just the kit or $258 installed. I did the hood with venture shield myself and was planning on redoing it anyways, but until then will the 3M look different from the Ventureshield? Is $258 installed a good price for a kit and installation? |

3M is drastically different than VentureShield (even though VentureShield is owned by 3M).
3M has massive orange peel and much thicker than VentureShield. IMO if you like how VentureShield looks you will not appreciate the 3M kit. As well, the 3M kit is conservative when it comes to the cutting, you will see alot of uncovered places where relief cuts have to be made to fit the car. VentureShield has a better kit, IMO. I run VentureShield on my Bumper, Fenders, Hood, Headlights, Mirrors, and Fender Wells. Money well spent

Also, the 3m coating seems to capture dirt more easily/quickly and is harder to clean than the venture shield. I swapped my bumper and hood from 3m to venture shield because the wrapped parts of the car consistently looked dirtier than the painted parts. So far the venture shield still grabs dirt a little more than bare paint but it is way better.
I see you're in MA. Rick at Unique Car Care in Wakefield did my wrap - full custom wrap for awesome coverage and practically no visible seems. You're welcome to check it out. |

I don't remember how much it was since it was done over a year ago along with a full detail, dent removal, tint, reflectors etc.. Feel free to ping Rick rickrack79@hotmail.com and ask him for an estimate. They didn't use a kit though, it was a custom install from raw sheets. There are some pics of the work on their FB page:

For price point reference:
$1450 Xpel Ultimate (Full hood, front fenders, entire front bumper, headlights, side mirrors, door handles and rear bumper surface) Install was done by local installer that specializes in tint n PPF applications. Overall good job on the install. |
