Pocono North Course "Twilight" Event
First time driving in the dark, quite an experience. Finding your reference points is much more difficult. Then throw in some rain and that's when things get really fun. Started late afternoon and last run group finished around midnight. Got to see Pal, saw Adam's car although didn't really get a chance to talk with him. Nonetheless it was good to see Z's out there!

Thanks Nick - FYI I'll be doing few NJMP events in Oct with PCA Del & Schattenbaum. Hopefully you'll be at one of them. Kept DSC on at first but it was really annoying. Dashboard lit up light a Christmas tree and the back end kept losing power abruptly so the rear end would snap around turns instead of rotating. Once I turned it off thats when things got really fun lol. You'll find out soon enough! =D Last edited by 3002 tii; 09-09-2012 at 08:51 PM.. |

Dsc serves no purpose in performance driving, but I would be tempted to through it on under those conditions!! Haha.
Yeah I'm back into it for end of season. Doing WGI with NASA in 2 weekends for start my nice long vacation. |

Fun times! I kept coming over to your car Dan but when I came over you were never there so I would just go bother Pal instead.
That was the most fun I have had at a track day in a long time. Driving in the pouring rain at night is incredible! I want to do it again ASAP.

Yeah It was a great event. I'm thankful I got to learn the course in the daylight before those wet night sessions...I actually utilized the DSC for the first time ever at a track event and really focused on smooth applications. I went back and forth with it on/off and it didn't get in the way as much as I thought it would. Turn 1 on the banking on a dark wet new to me track wasn't worth having it off. I was validated when I had a pant shitting slide there at 120mph that I don't know if i could realistically caught without dsc's help.
Great event with some good drivers...although that R8 race car could use an instructor or two nice to see Pal out there driving hard as always!! |

Lightning. All is good, mounts for kidney grill got damaged, and cracked passenger brake duct. Waiting on parts before I remove bumper and try to fix grill mounts. Lesson learned the hard way unfortunately!

Better than my buddy who wrecked his car at T1, overcorrected, spun, hit the barrier.
