Guys, summers here and I'm considering. I hear from John @ Bimmersport that a black M roadster has done it as well.

Anythoughts? Alternatives?

How's service at Bimmersport?

Thanks guys.

This is for a VT1 right ? I don't think there are any locations in Ontario that can do the VT2 yet

I contemplated getting the AA tune via Bimmersport and asked a few members here their thoughts on Bimmersport. They advised I go elsewhere and I trust their advice.

Bimmersport gets good reviews on MaxBimmer forums but if you google their name you will find not many good ones.

A member on here had his ESS kit installed by lenys auto. I am going there to get my alignment. They can do cars with coilovers. http://www.lenysautomega.com/

Thanks for the advice guys. It is the vt1. They said the vt2 has some issues.

Just seeing a few guys in the USA with supercharged cars made me abit curious.

The "issue" with VT2 is that it can be a HUGE pain in the ass in install your first time, and is easy to screw up

I think he just meant "blown" as in "with forced induction" aka supercharged.

Was reading the other thread on the ess kit and seemed many loved the vt1. Seems some already have the vt2 running.

Should we wait for the vt2 to get more reviews......

If u check on the ess website. Bimmersport is one of the authorized dealers.... So what's the standard on that?

once its installed there are NO issues with the VT2. There are thousands thousands of combined hard driving on these forums on this kit, and I don't remember hearing about a single issue. No overheating, nothing leaking, stock clutches holding fine. If you can afford to jump straight to VT2, just do it and avoid the in-evitable upgrade.

I don't know what the standards on authorized dealers is, other than install experience. Just call them and ask

In first gear you need to apply throttle with foot's pinkie. 2nd gear it is a little easier, but still tough to drive smoothly. 3rd gear with sport mode is the mode of choice for merging onto a highway from an on-ramp. 4th gear+ is good with sport mode for improving the feel of acceleration. On the highway, I always use sport mode in 6th gear. Just making 1-2psi at 80mph in 6th, so its barely faster than stock

How much is the vt2 and how long and cost for the installation? I don't kind going for the vt2. But on the ess website. They nly she the vt1 version. Another dealer here said therewere some issues and they haven't fixed the vt2 yet. Wish I was in the states. Haha.

Retail is about $12k+$1k but shops often sell it for a little less

I was looking at the ESS website and they have this ECA flash in which we can do it ourselves?
Any thoughts on that?

That would be me, the black M roadster. They installed the VT1 on my car 3 years ago. It's still running just fine and it's plenty of power for me. IMHO, I'd go for it.

I'm in for an FI section. My Z had an ASA system on it when I picked it up form Budd's in Hamilton, always interested to hear what other guys are doing with FI cars.
