I had a nice chat with the head of product strategy for Audi recently:

Good stuff, we need it in the US. I am hoping that Mazda brings the CX-5 AWD diesel over in the next year or two... it would be like a poor man's diesel Q5.

Hope they plan to subsidize the building of more diesel gas stations. They are non-existent in some areas.

You mean Volkswagen's diesel strategy and I'm sure that bet depends on the price of gas increasing further.
