IDK if anyone noticed but I also forgot to mention that I painted my RPi scoop sapphire black metallic and left the red RPI logo

There we go. When its installed on the car its very subtle but if you know what to look for you can see it. Alot better than the bright red.

Wow, hadn't thought of this, but good point. Very few tools needed, and probably another good "be prepared" thing.

BIMMERGUY91, looking good! Did you have to do any trimming on the skirts to get them perfectly flush with the at the front of the skirt/fender seam?

One of them I didnt and one of them I need to. What part do you trim to make it flush.

The Z is a 1976 280z with a 327 small block chevy bored .30 over camel hump heads summit racing cam holley street dominator intake holley 650 double pumper carb, accel distributor, hooker headers, dynomax mufflers and true straight pipes out the back. TH350 trans built with upgraded bands and high stall converter, R200 VLSD, and its lowered as you can tell on 14" Western Superlites black with a polished lip. Xenon Type 3 air dam, custom roll pan, all black trim and awaiting zg mirrors to be installed. All new black interior, Pioneer bluetooth usb headunit 2 6x9's and 2 6.5's. Its a really nice car ive spent the last 2 and a half years restoring it. Now its almost done and I'm going to drive it for a while and then throw it up for sale. Bout to start building a LD28 Turbo Diesel 240z with my dad. Should get about 60 mpg

Can you comment on what exactly you had painted with this project - just the bumpers and skirts, or did you have them blend it into the rest of the car?

I got a pretty deep scratch on my trunk lid, it runs vertical just to the right of the latch/emblem, and I'm completely freaked out about getting it fixed. I also have a set of skirts, wet sanded the orange peel off of them and they are exactly ready to go for paint, but I don't want to have to blend into the doors for them either.

Would be great if you could make some comments on how the painting was done, how the match is, anything along those lines. Thanx!

There was no blending done. They used an extremely high grade paint that had 12 alternates and they picked the closest matching one and it is spot on. 1 quart was $310

No problem if you have any more questions I will get more info from my paint guy and let you know. If you have someone who is really good you wont be able to ever see a blend if you have to go that route

I dont really have any more pics right now. The car isnt quite done. Im in the process of replacing all the weatherstripping and fine tuning a few final details.

Picking up a 1970 this week that were going to restore all original. Still looking for another car to use for the diesel project. There is a 71 with a 73 parts car over in Atlanta that we may try and pick up
