Looks fun. Hopefully your wife wasn't upset that you took 15 pics of the car and NONE of her?

Looks great. What's rear tire size? For some reason, those rears don't look as chubby as they should

275/30r19

you are correct they look odd. i think it's because the shoulder of these crappy nexens is very weak. i plan on doing a fair amount of research on shoulder profile when these are close to toast.

i have been considering going to a 285/30r19 as i don't track the car and not all that concerned with increased understeer.

idk... any recommendations?

yeah... there was no problem with the wheels at all, but the car is going to be in a show on the 9th of next month that, when next to the other cars that will be there, needed to look a bit less... flash. i couldn't justify spending the money on both 224m's AND 18" tires, so the next best and closest-to-OE look were CSL/ZCP wheels. when i saw the cs.16's and their weights i thought it'd be a great match.

i think it'll make sense a day or two after the show, so... stay tuned!... HUGE photo upload here after i get them all edited for you guys. i haven't decided whether or not to give the show its own thread.

and Rick... the reps looked great! if you're still interested in them, i say go for it. i have nothing bad to say about them at all.
FWIW - i did finally weigh them when they came off the car.
front: 24.9 lbs
rear: 27.9 lbs
keep in mind they were not the avant gardes, which may be lighter.

they were not the avant garde wheels; rather, the BM528's from **********s' "replica" section. the biggest difference in appearance vs. the OE m5 wheel and the avant gardes is the profile of the face of the spokes. the BM528's have a sharp transition between the vertical portion of each spoke and the part that dives in towards the hub. the OE wheels and avant gardes are much smoother in transition.

so... mlawfl11... not sure why the fretting. it seems like you're a bit panicked. the avant gardes will need extra neg camber to sit flush and you'll want to be careful about what tires you use. if you're concerned about the setup, i suggest checking out what avant garde used for their AW m coupe with the m359's as has the exact specs you'll need for the m355's you've ordered. or contact elliot at **********s... he's quite good at what he does.

Thanks Eric. BTW, congrats on the recent purchase. Your car looks great.

This is my second go around with a Z4MC. I leased one back in 07 and loved it. When the leased ended, I leased a '09 Z4 35i and missed the z4m every time I drove it. When that lease ended this February, I bought an 07 Z4MC with 21,500 miles and added a Rogue exhaust and AA tune. So naturally it was time to upgrade the wheels....

I received the m355's but they feel a bit heavy and seem to stick out just a little too much in the front. The backs look great. Also, there is some rubbing from the front when I go in reverse with the steering fully locked (i.e., pulling out of a parking spot). The tire set up used was 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 Hankook v12.

The color and the rest of the car look good (side skirts and wheels)! The front lip looks too ghetto to me. But as long as you like it.

Ghetto

1. (n.) an impoverished, neglected, or otherwise disadvantaged residential area of a city, usually troubled by a disproportionately large amount of crime
2. (adj.) urban; of or relating to (inner) city life
3. (adj.) poor; of or relating to the poor life
4. (adj.) jury-rigged, improvised, or home-made (usually with extremely cheap or sub-standard components), yet still deserving of an odd sense of respect from ghetto dwellers and non-ghetto dwellers alike
1. John's paranoia about triple-checking whether or not he's locked his car doors comes from his growing up in the ghetto
2. "Why you always be talkin' ghetto? Get yo'self a propa' e-ju-ma-kay-shun, kid!"
3. Jane hid her head in embarrasment as her mom shamelessly committed the ghetto act of stuffing the restaurant's bread rolls, sugar packets, and silverware in her purse
4. "A TV Guide duct-taped to a 4 foot stick?! That's one hella ghetto 'mote control!"
