CSL Wheels ***Official Thread****
As some of you may know I am in my "Endless"
quest to find some wheels for my ride. I know the CSL wheels are played out but how often do you see an M coupe?? So maybe not too played out for my ride...? Who knows, they are very classic, and timeless, so I am still considering them... but the reason for this post is because along my wheel journey I have discovered that everyone and their mom has some form of a CSL wheel. Some are much cheaper than others, some are much, much more than others, but what's the real difference? Which are best? Why go Forgestar? When you can go VMR... you get the point. Please post your CSL wheels pictures, thoughts or comments. Tell us why yours are better, etc... thx ![]()

When I owned my E46...I had CSLs. Everyone from E46fanatics was always like "Dude that's so played out, every E46 has those on the road..."
I NEVER once found another E46 in Ohio with CSLs. Granted, some may have them now...but the point is, don't just choose a wheel because someone says you should. It's your car, your taste. IMO I don't think you'll ever see another M Coupe in awhile with CSLs on them...so do it!

I think you guys make some great points, and nice pictures Starscream, but no one has mentioned yet why all the different styles and what are the best/differences? Anyone have any thoughts?

FWIW, Forgestar F14 is not a CSL replica. It has one pair fewer spokes, so they are not symmetrical. Also a great looking wheel, but not a CSL replica.
CSL = perfect fitment, OEM bling ZCP = OEM quality, tad lighter than stock wheels, needs 10mm front spacer Replicas = usually cheaper than ZCP, proper fitment, but usually heavier and questionable quality (varies brand to brand) F14 = Priced along the lines of ZCP wheels, proper fitment, a tad lighter than ZCP, fine quality |

mine... genuine CSL rims refinished in anthracite.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() when i weighted my CSL rims they were lighter than the stock 18s, not by much, by the were definatly lighter, fitment is really good, a 12mm spacer upfront takes you to a perfect imo +32 offset, this setup looks perfect and is oem kit, the CSL rim is very very strong...... nice wheel, definatly one of my fave mods to this car.

What I can't figure out is why the Morr's are so much more $ (double) when they are still a flow-formed cast wheel exactly like the F14's and ARC-8's? Apex ARC-8 are the lightest of the group however.

**********s has flow-formed CSL wheels. Check out the Sportline CS.16- $950/set for 18 x 8.5F/9.5R, and MUCH lighter than stock.

Johanness, agreed. It's nice to roll with the top down sometimes, but in the end the coupe looks like a more complete car anyway you slice it. Dubsesed's car just takes it up another notch.

Hey lets not turn a great thread into a willy waving contest between roadster/coupe owners, we all brought what we did for a reason and were all happy with our purchases.....lets just leave this wheel thread intact......

You missed my point. I love the Roadster. But slapping a hardtop on it doesn't make it a Coupe (aesthetically). Sorry for thread-jack. Go CSL reps!
